INSERT2014 brings the sharp edge of global contemporary art to Delhi with an exhibition that focuses on the role of the artist as a generator of ideas, questions and concepts. INSERT2014 is produced by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, in partnership with the Goethe Institut/Max Muller Bhavan and Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council, Delhi. Raqs Media Collective is the artistic director of INSERT2014.

INSERT2014 unfolds a series of unexpected encounters with contemporary art in the public domain. A central focus will be an exhibition of site-specific and other art works by over twenty critically acclaimed artists, presented at Mati Ghar, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), from 31 January to 28 February 2014. Works will engage visitors in conversations with the site, the city, and some of the most exciting movements in global contemporary culture. The exhibition also features “New Models for Common Ground” – proposals by artists, practitioners, curators, architects and urbanists that re-imagine the infrastructure for culture in Delhi.

INSERT2014 is presented by Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation.
